Honor Our Heroes Event

Raceway Ford of Riverside hosts the “Honor Our Heroes” event to bring the community together to celebrate the past and present military heroes while raising funds for the benefit of the Riverside National Cemetery Support Committee (RNCSC) to assist with the needs of the Riverside National Cemetery.

Bill Chamberlin of Raceway Ford was inspired by the West Coast Thunder event, and created the “Honor our Heroes” event, for non-bikers who wanted to support the Riverside National Cemetery and honor our military heroes of past and present.

“We wanted to do something locally for the people to come together, to celebrate the men and women who have served this country,” said Chamberlin. “It’s a great way to raise money to support the Riverside National Cemetery Support Committee and Riverside National Cemetery for all they do for veterans and military personnel.”

Raceway Ford, with the help of the community of Riverside, comes together to host an evening filled with entertainment, food, and merriment with the goal of inspiring the community to come together to celebrate veterans and those currently serving in the military. The event is hosted during the month of October usually a late Saturday in the month.

The “Honor our Heroes” event entertains its guest with live music, food, wine and craft beer tasting, with an exciting silent auction. Dozens of local vendors provide the food, wine, and craft beer tasting, giving attendees of the event a “Taste of Riverside” as they spend the evening celebrating and fundraising for the Riverside National Cemetery Support Committee.

The event has raised $70,000 for the Riverside National Cemetery Support Committee to provide funding for the Riverside National Cemetery projects and needs. Examples of this include, the design, and building of memorials, funding special ceremonies, events for veterans and military personnel, and the general upkeep of the Riverside National Cemetery.
